• Grupo Ramos Account • This is an account JC and I are very proud of and it’s called Grupo Ramo. They are the largest supermarket chain with more than 78 stores in Dominican Republic. Its competition Bravo its one of our most important clients at international. Due to law regulations of Dominican Republic (only processors could sell to the supermarket chains in tamper evident containers) and the increase in sales Bravo was having with only 14 stores, Grupo Ramos had a clear view that our container could help them solve their regulation problem and sales deficiency in the cheese and ham market that they were having vs. Bravo Supermarkets. We held at least 3 meetings in Dominican Republic and one at the PMA show in 2019 and followed up with them every two weeks to review if they were willing to do testing with two cases of product in their main store. Even though the need might’ve been there, internal processes for changing are very slow and rough at times. In August of last year, they placed their first order for only 5 stores to test and the change was just phenomenal. They were using PVC and foam trays in their stores and the switch and sales reaction was immediate. We are negotiating with them now - at least a container of TS20 product every 2 weeks. • In this case the perseverance we had with the client of contacting them every time we traveled and following up with emails and calls, letting them know we were there if they needed to do testing with our product, being informed of the regulations in their country and building trust in the market with a high quality product gave us the opportunity to get into this account, and this year we know the growth will be worth it. On our last trip, JC and I spoke to the store level people and they said they couldn’t be happier with the container due to the noticeable increase in the sales, clients were happier with the new packaging and the manipulation was very easy to the tender, also the shelf life increased and the didn’t have to throw away food. This account took us at least 6-7 months of hard work but we were always there very responsive and following up on anything it was needed.
