With environmental sustainability front and center of global attention, many manufacturers are doing everything in their power to bring to market products with any kind of sustainability claim. Because post consumer materials are in high demand, and low supply – many manufacturers decide to launch small product lines with larger post consumer content claims. And unfortunately – often – many manufacturers are not completely honest with their assertions. Inline chose a different route. We are using post consumer content in our entire portfolio – which makes our % smaller, but our customers are not limited in choices – they can choose any Inline Plastics product they need, and rest assured that we are being environmentally conscious and including as much post consumer material, no matter which product they choose. One other major factor- Inline’s post consumer content will be certified by an independent third party, something our competitors are not doing today. Our plan is to continue to grow the share of post consumer in our materials as more becomes available.

Our containers will have an embossed % on them! Since we are rolling this out across the portfolio, this implementation will go faster with newer items, but our plan is to add it to all items over time.

Composting requires an actively managed composting facility, or it remains a block of compostable material not degrading. There are not enough composting facilities in North America – and along with that – we do not have a developed collection system. Recycling is the way to go especially for PET and PP packaging. You probably know that PET is the most commonly recycled material globally?
