Store Audits

When Inline Plastics moved to the Matrix Organizational Structure, the Retail Team was created to be the experts on the Grocery and Convenience Store segments. One of the most important tasks of this team is to have a comprehensive understanding of key major account targets within their area of responsibility. The Store Audit templates create a consistent tool to dive deep into the current packaging, competitor’s position, our comparable packaging options, and processor container opportunities. Through this in-depth analysis, we develop focused container or department targets that offer the best opportunity for sales success. Another significant benefit of these audits is the broad-based ongoing source of leads developed for the Processor Team. Finally, Marketing can utilize these Audits to understand Inline Plastics’ share of the market, potential unmet needs when considering future product offerings, and PET packaging’s overall utilization within different departments at these accounts. We will utilize two formats for store audits completed by the Retail Team. The in depth ‘Store Assessment Report’ will be a detailed, comprehensive analysis across all departments utilizing rigid PET packaging for accounts that are specific high value targets that the Manager is responsible for. It will also require looking at the different segments of the grocery store (Bakery, Deli, Produce, etc.) and providing estimated share of packaging by department and competitor. Please access this template here. The second format, the Walk Thru Audit, is a shorter report used for taking notes during a short visit. It is simpler than the Assessment and has only 5 areas of focus. This shorter version will be requested more often through the year and is available for download here. Once completed, these audits will be shared with the appropriate Commercial Team members and then stored in this folder.
